A clearer path through your child's care.

Welcome to The Developmental Compass

I offer families support as they explore different therapies, schools, and neurological evaluations for their children. I'll walk you through the process and guide you toward the best-case outcome of each path — for you and your child.

As a mom of three with a background in neuroscience research, I found the IEP process, neuropsych evaluations, OT, PT, speech, and behavioral therapy paths daunting, expensive, and overwhelming. I did it all — and still felt like our needs weren't being met. I kept asking questions therapists couldn't answer. I finally got frustrated and did my own research, and worked with collaborators to find real answers.

Every family and every child is unique. I'll walk you through the paths that are right for you — based on your specific needs and goals. You'll leave with a plan tailored to your family, saving you time, headache, and money on unnecessary paths for you and your child.

What I do

The Developmental Compass is a pediatric neuroscience-based consulting service — for parents navigating multiple developmental intervention paths at once, including OT, speech, PT, behavioral therapy, neurological and neuropsychological evaluations, school placement decisions, IEPs, tutoring, Neurofeedback, or any combination of intervention to accelerate your child. I help families by building a personalized developmental roadmap and by sequencing your child's therapies for maximum benefit. I explain the research behind it, showing how progress in one domain connects to another — replacing guesswork with a holistic, data-driven plan built around your child's specific profile and family goals.

What you get

A working plan I build based on your families goals, your child’s profile, our consultation, and a brief questionnaire. I tailor a guide focused on you and your family - track your child’s progress and give you a guide based on research, connecting all the therapies so you understand the big picture. Therapists are specialized for a reason, but it’s all connected. I take what each of your child's providers has told you, translate it into plain language, and show you how it connects: how progress in one area is likely to move another, what to expect on a realistic timeline, and where to focus first for the outcome your family needs.

Who this is for

Some families come to us early — something feels off, and they don't yet know what to ask or where to begin. We help guide you to specific evaluations. Others arrive mid-journey, already three or four providers deep, holding a stack of reports that don't quite add up to a plan. Both are exactly who this is built for. Wherever you're starting from, we meet you there.

Why it matters

Without someone connecting the dots, therapy decisions tend to happen reactively — one appointment leading to the next, with months passing before you find out two services were supposed to reinforce each other, or that you started in the wrong order. Getting that sequence right the first time protects two things families can't get back: time, and money spent on the wrong starting point. We also track progress to ensure you’re meeting the goals that are important to you.

How it works

  1. Book a free consultation — a candid conversation to discuss your questions and what we can provide.

  2. Complete your family intake — a short, adaptive questionnaire that adjusts to your child's age and your concerns.

  3. Get a personalized plan — grounded in current research, sequenced around your family's goals and capacity. It will outline your child’s red and green flags, what each therapy could realistically improve, a timeline of results, estimated costs and how to navigate it all based on your families needs.
